Professor Jersmann will summarise the current state of Climate Change, it’s main drivers and the general impacts on our planet including Human Health. Specific effects on certain cancers, such as skin, breast and lung and possible mechanisms for this effect of Climate Change will be highlighted. The wider implications of destabilisations of societies/economies and the effect of this on the future of cancer therapy in general will be discussed. To enable oncologists to do something about Climate Change several options for mitigation will be outlined.
