Wendy Spencer
Wendy Spencer RN is the Clinical Nurse Consultant Oncology and Immunology Outpatients at The Canberra Hospital. She has been engaged in medical nursing since 1975 and has been a cancer nurse since 1996. She has extensive experience in clinical cancer nursing, leadership and workplace training. She assumed her current position, which originally included Haematology Outpatients, in 2012. She played a major role in planning and executing the transition of cancer Outpatient nursing services into the hospital’s new Cancer Centre when it opened in 2013. Wendy is a member of the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia and a member of the Medication Safety National Standards Committee for Canberra Health Services.
