Lisa M Reynolds
Dr. Lisa Reynolds, Ph.D., balances an academic position at the University of Auckland’s Department of Psychological Medicine with clinical work as a Health Psychologist at the Cancer Support Service at Counties Manukau Health in Auckland, New Zealand. In her role as Director of the Health Psychology Practitioner Programme she provides clinical training to health psychologists en route to registration as psychologists. Her research has investigated the role of disgust, avoidance, stigmatisation, body differences, and the potential for compassion to make a difference in cancer contexts. She is a scientist-practitioner, ensuring that her research is clinically meaningful and that her clinical work with health providers, caregivers and people with cancer is informed by up-to-date evidence.
